
Strawberry Cream Dessert

Ingredients
Crust
- 6 Nature's Yoke egg whites
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 2 cup coarsely broken soda crackers
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Filling
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 12 oz whipped topping, thawed
Strawberry Jello Layer
- 2 cup boiling water
- 1 (6 oz.) package strawberry Jell-O
- 20 oz frozen strawberries, crushed or chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
Crust
- In a large bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Add sugar and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in crackers, vanilla and walnuts. Spread into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake in oven for 25 minutes. Remove and set aside to cool.
Filling
- In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese and 1/2 c. sugar. Fold in whipped topping and spread on top of cooled crust.
Strawberry Jello Layer
- In a medium bowl, whisk the boiling water into the gelatin to dissolve. Mix in strawberries and let stand for 15 minutes. Pour over the cream cheese layer; cover and chill until serving.
