Organic free-range eggs are laid by free-range hens fed a purely organic diet that is non-GMO and contains no synthetic fertilizers, other chemicals, animal by-products, pesticides or hormones.
Additionally, USDA Organic hens must be allowed to molt as hens naturally do, rather than undergoing forced molting (a practice conventional egg farmers use to extend the laying life of hens).
Earning the USDA Organic seal is an extensive process, and Nature’s Yoke free-range organic hen farmers gladly put in the time and effort it takes to meet all the requirements — as well as to maintain their USDA Organic status year after year.

While the USDA Organic seal ensures the eggs you’re purchasing are indeed organic, the fact that our family farms are also Certified Humane means our organic hens are also treated very well.
Specifically, Certified Humane free-range hens are required to have access to the outdoors for at least 6 hours each day. So, not only do our organic hens thrive on organic feed that’s never genetically modified, but they also have the freedom to nibble on the plants and insects available in their pasture-like outdoor areas.
As a result, we’re able to bring you an organic free-range egg you can feel even better about. Especially if the humane treatment of animals is important to you.
What you might not know is that hens also love being inside. We make sure all our organic free-range hens have safe, comfy barns where they can perch indoors to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
