EXTRA OMEGA-3 NUTRITION
Omega-3 fatty acids have many benefits and people seek out foods that are rich in Omega-3 for a variety of health-boosting reasons.
In fact, very few nutrients have been studied as much as Omega-3, and the benefits of these fatty acids are something all healthcare professionals agree on.
Given how important Omega-3 fatty acids are for health, getting them naturally through your diet is a great way to go for a number of reasons. But one of the absolute best reasons is that most foods high in Omega-3 are simply delicious — and Nature’s Yoke Omega-3 Free-Range Eggs are no exception.
Our Omega-3 eggs are laid by hens raised on diets fortified with flaxseed — a healthy, natural source of Omega-3 that hens love.
For busy people and families, Omega-3 eggs make getting Omega-3 easier since eggs are already on the weekly menu in so many homes — whether they are the main star of a dish (like they often are at breakfast) or simply an ingredient in a recipe.
Hard-boiled Omega-3 free-range eggs on their own make a very nutritious mid-day snack, and don’t forget about all the ways to make eggs (scrambled, poached, fried), as well as egg salad sandwiches, frittatas, omelettes, quiche and the endless list of dishes and desserts that call for eggs.
Just substitute regular eggs with Nature’s Yoke Omega-3 Free-Range Eggs and you’ll be well on your way to getting more Omega-3 into you and your family’s diet.

WHAT IS OMEGA-3?
According to the National Institutes for Health (NIH) Office of Dietary Supplements, there are 3 main Omega-3 fatty acids:
- Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)
- Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)
- Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
ALA is found mainly in plant oils, such as flaxseed. While ALA is an essential fatty acid, your body can’t make it on its own. So, when you add ALA to your diet through foods high in Omega-3, your body converts some of the ALA into EPA and then into DHA.
This means that getting all three essential fatty acids requires eating foods high in Omega-3.
Nature’s Yoke Omega-3 Free-Range Eggs have a total of 225mg of Omega-3 per egg. Plus, our hens are given additional Vitamin E, a fat-soluble nutrient that acts as an antioxidant, protecting your cells from the free radicals that form when your body converts food into energy. Vitamin E is known to support the immune system and its health benefits are also well studied.
