The Best Fried Egg Burger

The Best Fried Egg Burger

The Best Fried Egg Burger. Is it breakfast, lunch or dinner? We’ll let you decide.

Here at Natures Yoke, we think any time is a good time for fried eggs — even fried egg burgers! A good source of protein, high quality fats, nutrients and antioxidants, fried egg burgers are the perfect choice for any meal.

While we love a good hamburger, replacing red meat with a soft-yolk, fried egg makes for a healthier option. In fact, replacing your beef burger with our Natures Yoke Organic Free Range Eggs, not only reduces calories but also helps you stay committed to your goal of eating organic from certified humane, small, family farms.

What’s On The Best Fried Egg Burger?

So, what goes on The Best Fried Egg Burger? The answer is…anything you’d like. A fried egg burger is completely customizable to your liking. To get you started though, we went with a classic approach. Classic toppings always appeal to a lot of taste buds, so it’s the logical place to start!

Fresh and Fluffy Hamburger Buns:

Since this is the top and the bottom of our burger, it’s doubly important that your hamburger buns be as fresh as possible. If you know a good bakery, this would be a great place to find the freshest buns. A fresh bun should be baked up tall, light and airy. When you push down on the top (lightly) it bounces back up into place.

Natures Yoke Organic Free Range Eggs

Good quality eggs are always a must, especially when they’re the star ingredient in a recipe, as they are here. Our hens are free-range, meaning they get to run, roam or rest outside as they choose. This type of living makes for a happier hen which makes for healthier eggs. Want to see how our hens run free? Learn more about our farms here.

We take your commitment to eating Organic as seriously as you do. That’s why our Organic free-range hens are fed a purely organic diet that is non-GMO and contains no synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, animal by-products, pesticides or hormones. Making our Organic eggs an excellent clean-eating choice for you and your family matters so much to us.

Earning the USDA Organic seal is an extensive process, and Nature’s Yoke Free-Range Organic hen farmers gladly put in the time and effort it takes to meet all the requirements — as well as to maintain this certification year after year.

Bacon

Bacon is a great way to add that smoky, salty flavor to our fried egg burger. It doesn’t get more classic than this. Bacon is a classic side with eggs, and topping on the traditional American burgers, making it the perfect pair for the Best Fried Egg Burger.

Hash Browns

Fried up potato shreds help make this fried egg burger a complete and satisfying meal. Hash browns should be cooked golden brown and crispy on the edges. There are three ways to get hash browns. 1. You can peel and shred the potatoes yourself. 2. You can buy them frozen. 3. You can buy them in the refrigerated section of your grocery store by the breakfast food (this was our choice). The latter two options are the easiest and will save you a lot of time!

Tomato and Lettuce

A classic to a traditional burger, these two veggies work just as great on our fried egg burger. They add freshness and a crunch. Anytime you use veggies they should be fresh and good in color.

Condiments

We chose to use ketchup, Dijon mustard and sriracha chili sauce. Every good burger needs at least one condiment. Combining three condiments makes for a more unique tasting fried egg burger.

Tips for the Best Fried Egg Burger:

When making these burgers, always cook/prepare your eggs last. This way they are warm and fresh when you take that first bite! To perfectly fry your eggs, cook on one side to keep the yolk soft, or “jammy” as the foodies like to call it. You’ll know your eggs are cooked enough, when the whites are no longer translucent.

To get nice golden-brown hash browns you will want to use olive oil and fry them on medium/high heat. This will be hot enough to help reduce the moisture in the potatoes as well as crisp up the edges. Flip hash browns. Make sure both sides are golden brown.

When putting together the burgers we set our ingredients up similar to an assembly line. Our choice of layering was as follows: bun, lettuce, hash browns, tomato, bacon and egg. Then choose your condiment(s) and top with other half of bun.

Additional Best Fried Egg Burger Toppings:

Like mentioned previously, we went with the classic burger toppings. However, there are a lot of additional options. Cheese, sausage, ham, avocado, tabasco, sautéed or fresh onions, jalapeño and pickles just to name a few.

So, no matter how you stack your Best Fried Egg Burger, we hope you enjoy the delicious outcome whether you eat it for the first meal of your day, or the last.
