Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrot, shredded
- 5 Nature's Yoke eggs
- 3 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sage
- pinch of tumeric
- 1 loaf Italian bread, cubed
Instructions
- Saute onion, celery and carrots in butter.
- Beat eggs well. Stir in sauteed vegetables and remaining ingredients, except the bread.
- Add bread cubes and mix well.
- Pour into a large baking dish. Bake at 350 F. covered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Uncover when almost done. The edges will be brown.
