Pecan Pie

A classic favorite (with oatmeal added for substance if you like), this delicious Pecan Pie recipe is one that may well become your holiday tradition.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 Nature's Yoke eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup heaping cup pecan pieces (or) 1/2 c. pecans and 1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, stir together the first six ingredients until well blended.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
