Pretzel Pigs in a Blanket
Pretzel Pigs in a Blanket makes a fun twist to everyone's favorite appetizer.
- 1 soft pretzel recipe
- 16 oz package cocktail smoked sausages
- 2 tbsp butter
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Heat cast iron skillet on stove over medium heat. Melt butter, then add sausages. Cook until browned and heated through. Set aside.
- Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Once pretzel dough has risen, remove dough from bowl and roll to 1/4 inch thickness with a rolling pin. Using a pizza wheel, cut dough into equal strips about 6 inches in length and 1 inch wide. Wrap pretzel dough around the cocktail sausages and repeat until all are formed.
- Dip wrapped sausages into soda water, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with kosher salt. Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven. Serve warm.
