
Homemade Vanilla Pudding
Creamy and comforting, our homemade vanilla pudding is an easy but elegant dessert for your next dinner party.

Ingredients
- 4 cup 2% or whole milk
- 5 tbsp cornstarch
- 3/4 cup sugar, divided
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 Natures Yoke Duck eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- In a heavy kettle, heat milk to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly to keep from scorching.
- Mix cornstarch, 1/2 cup sugar and salt together in a bowl. When the milk starts to boil, add the dry ingredients and butter, stirring to incorporate. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles. Cook 1 minute more.
- In a separate bowl, beat duck eggs with 1/4 cup of sugar. Stir half of hot mixture into the eggs and mix well. Return to saucepan and heat. Cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Do not boil!
- Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into serving dish. Cover surface with wax paper. Cool without stirring. Serve with cool whip.
