Servings 16

  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 cup + 2 T. warm water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 Natures Yoke egg
  • 1 tsp water
  • Kosher salt

Soda Water

  • 2 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp baking soda

Honey Mustard Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • cayenne pepper, sprinkled

Soft Pretzels

  • Combine first 5 ingredients. Knead for five minutes to form soft dough. Cover and let rise for 5-10 minutes.
  • While dough is rising, make soda water by combining warm water and soda in a bowl. Set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk egg and 1 tsp. water together. Set aside.
  • Divide dough into 16 pieces. Roll out each piece of dough into a 14-inch rope. Make a U-shape with the rope, holding the ends of the rope, cross them over each other and press onto the bottom of the U in order to form the shape of a pretzel.
  • Dip pretzels into soda water. Place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with kosher salt. Bake at 400 F. for 10-12 minutes.

Honey Mustard Sauce

  • Whisk all ingredients together in a small dish until smooth. Serve with warm soft pretzels.
