Golden Corn Fritters

Little bites of Golden Corn Fritters are a great addition to most country meals. They're even great for breakfast served with with maple syrup.

  • 2 Nature's Yoke eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/4` cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 2 qt oil, for frying
  • maple syrup, optional


  • Mix all ingredients, except oil and syrup, together to form a wet dough.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 365 F. Drop by small spoonfuls into oil and cook five minutes per side until a deep golden brown.
  • Remove to a plate lined with paper towel. Serve with maple syrup on the side, if desired.
