Savory Meatballs

Enjoy our Savory Meatballs smothered in a creamy sauce with a hint of Dijon.

Ingredients
  

Meatballs

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 Natures Yoke egg
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup crushed Saltine crackers
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced

Sauce

  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 2 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.

Meatballs

  • In a large bowl, mix together milk, egg, garlic, and seasonings. Fold in ground beef, rolled oats, cracker crumbs and onion. Mix just until combined. Form into meatballs and place in a baking dish.

Sauce

  • In a small saucepan, bring half-and-half to a simmer. Add cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Add Dijon, cheese, and seasonings. Stir until cheese is melted. Spoon on top of meatballs.
  • Bake for 45 minutes uncovered, or until internal temperature reaches 160 F. Garnish with parsley and serve.
