Snickerdoodle Bars

These soft Snickerdoodle Bars have the same great taste of those cookies you love, minus the work of baking individual cookies.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Nature's Yoke eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Cinnamon Filling

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp milk

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and cream of tartar. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter on high speed until creamy. Add sugars. Gradually beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. On low speed, beat in dry ingredients.
  • Spoon half of batter into the pan; spread evenly.

Cinnamon Filling

  • Melt butter. Add sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir in milk. Pour over batter in pan.
  • Dollop spoon fulls of remaining batter on top of cinnamon filling. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.

Glaze

  • In a small bowl, stir glaze ingredients together until smooth and drizzle over bars.
