Granola Bars

Delicious and healthy, these Granola Bars are made with flaxseed, wheat germ, cinnamon, and craisins making an excellent, on-the-go healthy snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup craisins
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 Nature's Yoke egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp Vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Generously grease a 9x13 baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, flaxseed, cinnamon, flour, craisins and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine applesauce, oil, honey, egg and vanilla. Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients. Mix well. Pat mixture evenly into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes until the bars turn golden at the edges. Cool for 5 minutes, then cut bars while still warm.
  • Wrap individually or store in air-tight container.
